Hallo Trees (Ferdi), and wellcome!!
Sorry for my english errors, i don´t want to check on the dictionary, it´s so late in the evening...!
I`ve the same opinin: as stressed by some research doctors, it`s important to re-define "definitions and criteria", may be to sub-grupe patients, also! (NOT all of us presents with the same symptoms, so the evolution, the inter-actions between physiological systems and even ethiology could be different!) It could be VERY IMPORTANT FOR RESEACH!!!
A nice friend from Oland gave me the english bibliografy (references-i don´t remember the english name!) of the Netherlands´s guide line for CFS (or a similar document), but I don´t have the rest of the document, written in netherlands language!!! I understood that there was a national program based mainly on CBT; I want to know:
has it been carriyed out? does it give improvements to patients?
Do YOU think that CFS patient are considered there as psychiatric patient, I mean with pre-existing mood disorder like Anxiety or (Major) Depression?
Prof De Meirlier in Brussel is so near to the Netherlands! do somebody there try his therapies? could he always find his "blood markers" e.g. L-RNase etc. in diagnosed people from Netherlands?
The DVD seems interesting! what do they deal with?
At the moment I live in Munich, next week I´ll meet people in a self-help-group.. -my german language is not yet good enough!- .. however the last time i went there I understood that HERE the situation is NOT better then in Italy....
Hope to see you soon here! ;-)

Ciao Trees (Ferdi), e benvenuto!
