It is a good habit of me to visit this forum frequently, also for that reason I would like to wish all the members of this forum a better new year (2013)!!.
I think with the disease we have in common, it is required to have the Italian spirit/mental power (for which they are well known in the world); although internationally compared Italy does not a bad job, it does also contribute to the serious knowlegde / science about our disease.
Personally I did have the change to meet Prof M Pall in person last year, he did give a lecture not far where I live. He is still (additionally documented) convinced he is on the right track (althoung clinical results are not very impressive till now). Dispite he is retired for about 4 years now, he is still active and does publish in the international peer viewed medical papers. To recrut data for his hypothesis he is still cooperating with physicians; some of this data was revealed during he last college in november last year. So his ongoing personal motivation does give me the idea that he will not stop.
This is some encouraging news I would like to share with you, but at the same time I do not want to buy anyone into his theory/ view about the etiology of our disease.

Greetings
